LINE 3

What it is: Line III gear is a combination of Line I, Line II, and all other gear needed to sustain you in the field indefinitely, with resupply, with such gear being carried on or in some sort of backpack or rucksack.

What it isn’t: Line III gear is not everything you want. It is everything you need to keep you in the field.
